Another school year is drawing to an end, and summer break will be here before you know it! The next days will be filled with studying, final exams, end of year projects, field trips and preparation for summer camps and vacations.
Here are just a few of the ways Charlotte Mecklenburg Library can help students survive and thrive!
1. Homework help
Library cardholders and ONE Access customers get free homework help from a live, online, qualified tutor - up to 10 free tutoring sessions each week! Tutor.com is available from home, school and the Library for K-12 students, college students and adult learners. Help is available in English (daily from 4 p.m. to midnight) and Spanish (Sunday-Thursday from 4-10 p.m.) in a wide range of areas such as math, science, English, social studies, essay review, GED preparation, resume review, job searching, interview preparation and citizenship preparation.
Many library locations also offer one-on-one tutoring and homework help.
2. Study after hours
Bring your brain and your books and cram for exams during special after hours for teens (12-18) at Morrison Regional Library. Late nights at the Library take place June 4-6 from 8-10 p.m., and are organized by the Morrison Regional Library Teen Advisory Council. Snacks are provided, and registration is required.
3. Boost your language learning
Your library card or ONE Access account provides access to Mango Languages, a language-learning software with more than 70 world language courses and 17 ESL/ELL courses, featuring voice comparison, foreign language films and cultural anecdotes.
4. Take practice tests
What better way to ace a test than to practice? Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC) offers practice tests for basic skills in math, reading, science and writing for grades 6-12, in addition to AP, SAT, college prep and career resources.
5. Find the resources you need
