On Thursday, April 19, more than 520 people flocked to the Hal Marshall County Services Center in Charlotte, NC to learn about the new Main Library, Seventh & Tryon redevelopment, and North Tryon Vision Plan.
Of interest to many in attendance was the two-block Seventh & Tryon project, a public sector-led redevelopment of two blocks in the North Tryon area that will feature a new Main Library, refurbished McGlohon Theater, renovated Hall House, parking, office space, retail and housing that will serve a diverse array of incomes. In March, the Seventh & Tryon stakeholders issued a request for qualifications for a master developer.
The free event offered food, entertainment and an opportunity for the community to engage with the individuals and organizations planning the future of North Tryon. Attendees expressed excitement about the many projects planned for the area.
