Celebrate National Poetry Month this April with the Library

Looking to share a poem? Want to hear something new? Bring something you've been working on or just lend an ear for this lunchtime poetry meetup. Each meeting will have a new, interesting topic of discussion that could bring out the poet in anybody!

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, 30-day writing challenge where participants across the world are encouraged to get their creative juices flowing.

Join Charlotte Mecklenburg Library as we celebrate Indie Author Day, when libraries and organizations around the world welcome local indie authors, writers and their communities in for a day of education, networking, mingling, writing, open mics, panels and so much more. Also, no matter where you are in your writing journey, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has programs, resources and services available to help you along the way.

The Poet is IN @ Main Library has become an extremely successful program and is positively impacting the lives of Library customers, as well as Library staff.

Learn more about this exciting state-wide opportunity for writers! From April through May, you can submit your ebook for review by Library Journal and local judges. Through this project, libraries are helping local authors get the recognition they deserve for writing great books.
