The Cornelius Branch Library opened the doors of its new 5,500 sq. ft. building in February 2000. It is a joint effort of the citizens of Cornelius, town leaders, Commissioners of Mecklenburg County, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Board of Trustees.
Conveniently located across from Cornelius Elementary School, a special relationship has been established between the school and the Branch to serve the community's children. This special emphasis upon children's services occurs both within the building and out in the community.
