Seed Libraries
What is a seed library?
A seed library is community collection of seeds that can be shared for free! Several library locations offer this service, and you can find more information below.
How to Donate
If you wish to donate seeds to the seed library you can bring them to a participating library during operating hours. You can donate the seeds with their original packaging or, if you no longer have the original packaging or have collected seeds from your own plants, you can fill out an information slip that's provided.
How to Collect from the Seed Library
The types of seeds available will vary based on what is available in the library's collection or is donated. Some seeds may have been repackaged into individual bags and each bag contains enough seeds for 3-5 plants (the number of seeds per pack may vary). Copies of the information about each seed are attached to the seeds that you choose.
