Charlotte Mecklenburg Library offers a variety of resources and programs for the Charlotte writing community. Whether you are interested in joining a writing group, self-publishing your book or attending a panel discussion—we have something for you! The Carolina Author Collection is a special collection for authors living in and around Mecklenburg County including nearby South Carolina counties.
The Library receives most of its operational funding from Mecklenburg County (approximately 90%). Other funding sources, such as the State of North Carolina, the City of Charlotte, and the Mecklenburg ABC Board, make up a small portion of the Library’s operational funding.
