State of the Library
On Monday, January 12, 2026, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library hosted its inaugural State of the Library at ImaginOn.
Library Board of Trustees Chair Amy Hawn Nelson provided the welcome, and elected officials Mark Jerrell and James Mitchell shared inspirational perspectives on the positive impact of the Library's work in the community. Helen Hope Kimbrough, Foundation Board of Directors Chair, and Stacey Brown, Board of Trustees Vice Chair, provided closing remarks. Projects and programs featured include:
